The village is a great place to watch and enjoy nature. This is a picture of two of the Pileated Woodpeckers that Gary had an opportunity to watch multiple times this summer. If you have never seen a Pileated Woodpecker, they are the size of a crow and very impressive. If you want to be guaranteed to have a up close and personal look at a Pileated Woodpecker, be sure to visit the Tree House Wild Life located just 4 miles from Green Tree Inn.
The village is also home to multiple deer who like to graze in the open field behind the Inn, as well as our garden.
You will also have the opportunity to hear the frogs chirping in our “frog pond” located directly across from the Inn. As well as our multiple owls hooting.
Gary is kept busy feeding the birds in the garden in the winter as well as the hummingbirds in the summer. Take some time to stop and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature while visiting Green Tree Inn.
FUN FACT: Hummingbirds are not found in Europe!!
