The Green Tree Inn of Elsah is a traditional Bed & Breakfast that offers a hearty, home-cooked breakfast each morning and a special homemade snack each afternoon. One morning you may be served Chef’s special Caramel Apple French Toast with bacon and eggs, and the next morning you may enjoy a slice of Green Tree Inn’s Signature Quiche with a side of specially seasoned country potatoes.
Each morning, guests are served in the main dining room at the communal tables at the time of their choosing. Fresh local coffee is brewed each morning, or if coffee isn’t your thing we also offer guests variety of juices and hot teas to enjoy with their meal. Special arrangements can always be made to accommodate special dietary needs or guests’ travel schedules, just let the innkeeper know before your arrival.
All food is prepared by, innkeeper and chef, Megan Cunningham. The menu each morning is chef’s choice, though special requests can be accommodated within reason. Megan is a former professional chef who loves to cook with the seasons, ensure each meal is balanced and flavorful, and most importantly make sure no one leaves hungry!
