The Annual Elsah Photography Contest is held at the Elsah Village Hall which is home of the Elsah Museum.  Check out this beautiful spring picture taken here in Elsah which won the 2015 Village of Elsah Photography Contest. This is the original gate house to Principia College located at the entrance of the Village.  Christine Samoore won the Photography Contest with this picture. As the winner, Christine earned $200 and a Free Night’s stay at Green Tree Inn. There is still time to enter your picture in this year’s photography contest and win $200 and a Free Night’s Stay at Green Tree Inn. This is an annual event and the prizes remain the same each year.

Even if you don’t want to enter a photograph, make plans to attend the opening reception scheduled for Saturday, April 2, 2016.  It will begin at 1:00 p.m. and be held in the Village Museum. The opening reception is a perfect opportunity to meet Elsah residents, the photographers and enjoy some time in the village. As an added bonus, of course, there will be refreshments.  The photographs will be on display at the Village museum thru July, 2016. The Village Museum is open from 1-4 every Saturday and Sunday. Guests at Green Tree Inn are offered a private tour of the museum.
